I have a 2000 olds bravada, 90,000 miles. When taking off from a stand still the gas pedal sticks. You have to tap it quickly to release it and once going down the road it works smoothly. It just sticks when taking off from a stand still. Any one know the problem and how to fix it?

Sticks every time from a stand still or just when it is cold? Have you followed the accelerator cable and ensured that it is not catching on something?

It will stick all times of the year, weather doesn't matter, it doesn't matter is the car is cold or warmed up. Haven't checked the cable, is it hard to replace it?
