When I apply the brakes I feel a grinding sensatiion and I hear a hissing sound coming from uderneath the car,and the car keeps moving a few seconds after the brakes have been applied. Is this just brake trouble,or could it also be transmission problems?
Thank you.

The wear indicator is rubbing against the rotor that's the noise you're hearing-you need new brake pads upfront/both.
