I have a 2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette with 90,400 miles on it. It has the infamous 3.4 v6, which fortunitely is not the problem. My problem stems from hitting a bump while driving through construction on one of our local highways. Shortly after hitting the bump we noticed that the vas started riding exceptionally springy. I pulled off to the side of the road and got underneath the van only to notice that the air-ride suspension system in the back was fully inflated. Much like if it were to have been jacked up without turning it off. Which brings me to my question.I cannot find a place to turn the air off and to let air out of the system to return the can to normal height before turning everything back on again. Can you help me with this?

Most of the air rides have independent sensors for computer controlled adjustment. Front suspensions usually contain two sensors, while the rear may have two or one sensor. Either way, the impact has either knocked off a sensor arm, or broken the arm altogether. You need to locate the sensor in order to determine the problem. You shouldn't need to reset anything, the computer will do that automaticly once the sensore is re-attatched.
