Engine Performance problem
1994 Other Oldsmobile Models 4 cyl Automatic

my wife drives this 94 Olds Achieva w/75 thousand miles. In the past several weeks the CHECK OIL light has come on twice whiile the car was in motion. This light has thengone off and did not reappear. The oil level was checked and was ok. The owner's manual only refers to the check oil light coming on and off while starting the engine, not while the engine was running. The oil GUAGE, as well as the other guages, like the temp/battery etc all show normal range. The other engine warning lights operate normally.

it's only he CHECK OIL warning light thatn has come on twice during the past several weeks. There was a major repair accomplished about three months ago. The steering rack assembly and power steering pump were replaced, and work fine now.

could some wire or switch have been displaced or made loose?

any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated.

There should be a sensor around the oil filter. Check the connection[this is the oil sending unit]. If alls well, then you need to check oil pressure. If ive helped or can help, please reply back! Dunc.
