I have been having issues with the power windows in my car recently. The rear passenger side window has stopped working completely. Also, the font driver's side window only work intermittently. Sometimes (usually when it is very hot outside) the window will go down if you play with the button enough. Other times it will not go down at all. However, the window never has a problem going back up if it is down. This doesn't seem logical to me, does someone have any idea what the issue could be?

Unfortunately, these cars have this problem frequently.

The contact switches have a habit of retaining moisture until they corrode. So the begin to fail one at a time.

When you roll the window down, one side of the switch is activated. Then on the way back up, the other side of the switch.

So they sometimes fail one side at a time, or both. And though this isn't the only possible cause, it's the most common one.
