2004 Oldsmobile Alero How to reset Security system?

I stored my 2004 Alero for 6 months and the battery was dead when I tried to start it. I jumped it and started it last week, turned it off and restarted it fine. I tried to start it again this week and it would not turn off. I tried to jump it again and it would not turn over. I put a new battery in it and it still will not turn over. The security light keeps flashing even after 10 seconds. How to I reset it?

turn the key on and watch the security light. It will be blinking. when the light shuts off turn the key off and try to start it. The blinking light will last about 10-30 min. Sounds like you need a pass lock sensor.
