2001 Oldsmobile Alero Starting the Care

When starting the car it turns over like it's going to start but it does not. The security locks the engine for 10 mins. I have to leave the key on the accessory position for 10 mins for the computer to reset. I just want to get in the car leave when I'm ready to leave and not waiting in a parking lot of 10 mins for the security to reset.

You are bypassing the security system when waiting. I hate to say it, but the only place that will have the proper test equipment to check the security system is a dealer.
