Engine Mechanical problem
2000 Oldsmobile Alero 6 cyl Automatic 208000 miles

My car was making a noise like it was misfiring so I changed all 6 spark plugs. But now my car only starts up for a few seconds then it shuts off.I was thinking it might be the starter or alternator but I'm no mechanic so I'm searching for some answers. Thank you for your time.

Is the check engine light on in the dash? The starter would not cause the engine to stall. If the alternator is bad then it could cause the engine to stall but once it stalls it wouldn't be able to restart because the battery would be drained. You could have the charging system tested to rule it out though.
