Must turn over engine 5-8 times to get it to start, once it starts it seems to run fine??? I already changed fuel filter, air filter. I was told it was the fuel pump but I can hear the fuel pump go on when I turn the key. Any idea what to check next?

Chances are there is a leak in the system that allows the fuel pressure to drop off when you shut the key. Here is a how to for checking pressure and fuel pressure drop off. Give it a try paying close attention to how quickly the pressure drops off when the key is shut.

You will need a gauge to check this, but most parts stores will lend or rent them. If you can't find one, they sell them from this site at great prices.
