what is going on when a starter doesnt start car, it does make a sound, as if its turning but not catching the flywheel, and the auto parts dealer tested the starter saying it was good?its on a 1994 olds acheiva,2.3l

so, if the starter is spinning but not catching the flywheel then your dealing with a chipped flywheel tooth or teeth, if it is turning the engine but isnt starting, then you either dont have any spark or fuel. both of those will need to be checked
