Car is an LSS (basically a fancier 88). Rear view mirror fell off of the windshield, leaving a rectangular area of a hard clear, colorless plastic material still stuck tightly on the inside of the windshield. The metal part of the mirror has none of this material left on it. Please advise best way to fix it.

Any parts will offer a mirror repair kit with instructions. Before you try the mirror back to the windshield, you need to clean the windshield and mirror base with a razor blade. Cleanliness is the most important part of the installation. I can't stress that enough.
