Electrical problem
1992 Oldsmobile 88 6 cyl 200000 miles

Hi Guys!
I just bought this car, did not know it had this problem, just my luck huh?
As it reads, this is an intermintent starting problem, Sometimes it runs and starts fine, but condition happens frequently. It usally happens after driving somewhere, then turning car off, when time to leave go out to car to restart car and she just turns over fine, but no start. Wait anywhere from 15 min to an hour and then she starts right up.

History from a mechanic who is working on the car now but stumped. His words- "No codes showing, even when problem presents itself" "Replaced cam sensor but problem still present" "looks like someone else has tried to fix problem because ECU has allready been replaced" "Checked when problem presented itself, there is No spark, but fuel system is working just fine"

I'm fusterated and Ready to light a match.

Don't get too frustrated. It has happened to me too in the past. As far as the problem, has the mechanic checked the ignition module?

Yes, they even tried replacing it to make sure, the problem still persisted.

Now they think it is the ECM, kind of expensive, but if it fixes it then I will be happy.

That could be the problem. However, make sure they will guarantee it will fix the problem.
