Those are not the color wires I see. I see a orange, pink/black and tan. The tan actually being for the gauge, the orange, pink/black for the override for the fuel pump relay.
Can you double check the VIN number and post it? Plus double check the engine number and post it because maybe this is not the original engine.

You said you found a orange pink/ black and tan wire. Can you tell me which wire goes to which prong. I am not currently around the truck or I would give you the vin number.

My manual does not show the sensor prongs, but I can tell you the orange wire should be hot from the fusible link, the pink/black goes to the fuel pump relay and the tan wire is for the oil pressure gauge/light.

I suggest you purchase the pigtail for that switch, that way you will know where they go.

I assume that is a generic pigtail.
I tried looking at photos of switches at Rockauto but still none of the prongs are marked. I suggest you try to get an OEM pigtail or search the internet for anyone else who has had this same problem and found out a solution.
