My truck has a pretty bad oil leak. then i actually added too much oil and did not know where the oil leak is actually from.

Hi,
I'm not sure where to start. Prior to overfilling it, did you ever notice a burning smell that could indicate a valve cover leak? Also, have you checked to make sure the oil filter is tight, and the leak isn't from that area or the drain plug?
Let me know. Also, let me know where you noticed the leak prior to overfilling it. For example, was there a spot on the driveway near the front or rear of the engine compartment?
Also, if you could take a few pics and upload them for me to see, it may help me.
