Ok,
I know this truck has almost 450,000 miles on it with it's original engine and transmission, but I'm stumped. A couple of months ago, I noticed a small oil leak under the truck, but dismissed it. Now, I have a issue. I can't figured out where it's coming from, but I've narrowed down to the area whre the dipstick is and the oil pressure sender is. I also have some oil on a rod by the oil pressure unit, but that was replaced 2 months ago, and there's no oil coming out. The oil is coming out the most just after the truck is turned off, and after 10-15 minutes, it stops or slows way down. I have no idea where it could be coming out, but it's going through a quart in about a week. Anyone out there have any ideas?

I would check the oil sending unit. Chances are it is leaking. Let me know.

Yeah, I was thinking that too, but I changed that just two months ago. I got under the truck and there is oil all over the rear part of the engine, a buddy of mine came on over and told me that the value covers (or seals, my memory is shot right now) were loose and we tightened them up by a quarter-turn and it slowed it down quite a bit. But here's another good one, what's a good way to stop a small antifreeze leak in a hose? I know it's a hose, but I don't know which one and I really don't want to take the truck apart to figure it out. Btw thanks Joe!
