Just had my oil changed about 4 weeks ago, since then I’ve had to put 2 quarts in every 2 weeks. I’m losing about a quart of oil a week, there are no obvious signs of a leak but there must be one. I’m not very knowledgeable about cars but if anyone has an idea of where my oil is going, and possible leak locations please help me out. Overall the car runs really well, although I’ve noticed when I’m lower on oil it will stutter slightly.

Are you seeing any oil on the ground after you park over night? So when you get the engine hot and then park it for more then a few hours, if you are loosing a quart per week, you will see oil on the ground if it is an external leak.

If there is no oil on the ground then you should have smoke when driving it. Do you have blue or a lighter color smoke when driving the vehicle?

On this vehicle the exhaust is low so you may not notice it so you need to have someone follow you and watch the exhaust for any smoke at all.

Here is a guide that will help with this:

If you are using this much oil then you have a leak or you are burning it. So we need to narrow this down.

Lastly did you have this issue prior to the oil change? It is unlikely the oil change caused this unless the filter was left loose.

Please let us know this info and we can go from there. Thanks
