My Dodge Neon just started to actively "mis-fire" (I'm not sure if it's a true mis-fire, but the jerking of the car as such) at any speed and with no warning. It has mis-fired maybe once a month for the last few months but always seemed to happen when it was damp so I just blew it off as my coil got wet somehow. Now, when I drive is mis-fires very irregular but constant after a few minutes of driving. It idles just fine, not skipping a beat. A few times as I've decelerated, it has stalled on me. I have no problems starting it back up though. There is nothing that I can do to make it happen, just when it does happen and the car stalls for a second or two, if I put the gas to the floor it'll kick out of it. I've replaced the coil, plugs and wires, and checked the wires from the PCM to the coil and there is no wires showing there that I can see. I think it could be electrical, could be fuel related, could be plugged exhaust, or maybe a slipping clutch? I'm at a loss and need help. Thanx

Engine misfiring can be caused by worn or fouled spark plugs, a weak spark (weak coil, bad spark plug wire), loss of compression, vacuum leaks, anything that causes an unusually lean fuel mixture (lean misfire), an EGR valve that is stuck open, dirty fuel injectors, low fuel pressure, or even bad fuel.
