Have you check for leaks? If no leaks are found, it could be getting to the cylinders, mostly via the valve seals and this is usually indicated by smoking exhaust.
Vehicle with a good catalytic converter might not smoke as badly as those without any catalytic converter so if you do not see any or much smoke from the exhaust, it does not mean it is not consuming engine oil.
Remove the spark plugs and if they are fouled with carbon at the tips and electrode, that would mean oil getting to the cylinders, via valve seals.
As mileage for vehicle is not very high, this should be due to hardened valve seals as they are already seven years old. Replacing the valve seals should solve the problem.
