Engine oil leaks can come from many different areas on or around the engine and with gravity and wind blowing across the engine can push oil down the engine, and toward the rear of the vehicle. This can make it more difficult to locate where the oil is leaking from.

You'll need to visually inspect the engine from the top down to locate where it is the most oily and work your way up the engine if this is a leak from a seal or a gasket. There is sometime engine oil hose that can develop a leak also.
Here is a list of all the seals and gaskets engine oil can leak from: Valve cover gaskets, Intake manifold gasket, timing cover gasket, engine oil pan gasket, oil filter adapter gasket, Front crankshaft oil seal and the rear main crankshaft seal.

If the oil is all over the place and you can't determine where the oil is leaking from there is Dye that most shops will have that is added to the engine oil and then engine is ran to circulate this dye throughout the engine and out wherever it is leak from, then using a UV light will show where the oil leak is coming from.

Hopefully, this gives you an idea of where to start. Let us know what you find and thank you for your question
