When I got in my car this morning and turned the key, absolutely nothing happened. NO click, no slow movement of the starter, nothing. When I started it yesterday, there seemed to be no lights, I have and use the auto position for my lights always. After turning the lights on and off, the brights on and off, they seemed to be working and I proceeded to drive approximately 10 miles to home. When I tried to start it today, nothing. My key fob no longer works as the metal piece that holds the battery in place and makes the battery connection broke. Without the fob I have been unable to reset the tire pressure moniter, so I have a warning that tells me to service the tire pressure moniter. I am not sure if these are all contributing factors, or completely unrelated. Will the diagnostic meters that some auto parts stores have still give me a reading? Do I start replacing resistors? And/or fuses? I did hook up a battery charger for about six or seven hours, although there were no sparks indicating a good electrical connection. Is it possible that my battery is shot, it doesn't appear to have cracked. I am not sure how to diagnose the problem.

Try jump starting the vehicle. It if starts, then you know that the problem is either a weak/faulty battery or dirty battery cables. If no one is available to jump start he vehicle have the battery charged and then start the car.

Let me know how it turns out.
