making a growling noise during start up?

It becomes louder during reverse and acceleration. It disappears once driving. The engine was recently replaced due to a recall a year ago.

Hi,

Have you checked the transmission fluid level and condition? If not, start with that. Also, is it possible for you to record the sound and upload it for me to hear? That may be helpful.

What you are describing sounds like the fluid may be low. As it warms up, ATF expands, and the level increases, so that could be why it is working properly after driving.
