Car has set for awhile tried to start 8 months ago, no go. Replaced battery ran fine, sat for awhile and tried to start it 8 days ago and dead. Jumped battery and started right up has been running good until yesterday, had a cold snap come through tried to start and was dead. Had battery checked and was bad. Installed new battery today, cranks but will not start. Checked fused in engine compartment but not in car itself. Is there any fuse in the car that would prevent from starting. My thought is bad fuel pump?

Thank you

It is unlikely to be a fuse unless you are not getting fuel so that could be a fuse for the fuel pump relay.

However, let's start with checking for fuel pressure and for spark. Here are a couple guides that help with this:

Once we know what the pressure is we can go from there but I would think the fuel pump like you said, is the issue but we need a little more proof of that first. Thanks

Thanks for the reply but after checking the fuel pump, which was just fine, found out it was just the key. My Mother in law gave me the wrong key, got the original one started right up. Thanks for your help.

Haha. That is great. I can honestly say, I would not have thought of that so I am glad you figured it out and shared with us.

Thanks again. Talk to you next time.
