1997 Pontiac Grand Prix with no start condition. Recently replaced battery and just replaced starter.
Battery voltage is good, alternator is good. Thought it was a dead starter. Put new one in and nothing.

Dash lights up but when hitting ignition no click or anything.

Wonder what else I can check before having it towed to a shop.

Try a different set if keys if you have one it may be the diode/anti theft causing this. Also check items in pic

Do you think this is more Theft Lock issue vs. A Neutral Start Sensor?

Also, on these steps can you clarify."Monitor THEFT SYSTEM indicator in instrument cluster". What does that look like?

Says to repeat step 1 two times for a total of three. In each attempt should the car be attempted to be started or only moving from run to off position with a start on the last attempt?

I should explain the events. Leading up to this.

About a month or so ago car would not start and had to jump with a battery box thing. Ended up testing battery and replacing it.

Here in the past week drove to work and when I was done went to start the car and it would not start. Had someone jump it and it started just fine.

I drove it a bit more but had to use the jump box again. Then on Tuesday I ran errands and started it multiple times but on my last stop it would not start.

Thus, given the battery is new, alternator was putting out a charge and the battery had sufficient voltage I presumed it was the starter.

Disconnected battery to put starter in and when done. No start thus I posted this question.

So if I understand possibly the Passlock info was lost when I disconnected the battery to put the starter in or possibly before then?

Have that system on your car if you do a security light will come on in instrument cluster. If no light then you have the diode. Check fuses and fusible links in pic you need a test light or volt meter. The fusible link may be bad then check to see if the yellow wire at neutral switch is getting power then the purple wire that will mean it is going to starter. If not then it's the snuetral switch if no power going to yellow wire ignition switch may be bad, but jumping it and it starts it 's possible it's the battery even if new. Auto parts test for free

There is no "security" option in the instrument cluster. The only thing is the red light on top of the dash.

Both keys have no diode in them.

Again, no security on dash. Only red light on top of dash by window.

Blinks when door is open.

When key moved to start and back to run it turns off.

I see that dummy me forgot to send the pic it will tell you where the links are. It's not the security sytem so stop looking for it. If car turns over then check fuel pressure with a gauge should be 48-55 psi minimum should be 48 if lower than that you probably need a pump. Auto parts rent it

Actually this is a no crank situation.

Battery voltage is good. Cables good.

Still not sure where to look for those links. Are they in the engine bay or in dash?
