After replacing the battery and relearning the electric throttle body. It still won't start. It has sat for a year now but prior to that it would start and run just fine.

Hello Ben,

Can I ask if the engine sounds okay when it is cranking over? If you upload a short video of the engine cranking, I can tell if the engine is hurt or not. In the meantime, see if the engine will run on starting fluid. If not let's check for spark.

This video will help:

If it has spark but will not run on starting fluid let's check the compression.

If the engine has no spark let's check the fuses and if they are okay, I have seen the crankshaft sensor go out and cause the engine not to have spark. Here is the location so you can check it out. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response to the problem so we can see what's going on.

When it last started it, it purred like a kitten. At 1 point it did start and ran for like 8 seconds then shut off by itself. I will check the crank shaft sensor. I think that might have been an original problem before the car sat for a year. That issue was. While driving I attempted down shift to a lower gear. And the transmission never shifted out of neutral. But I won't know if that issue it is fixed or not until I get the car to run.
