I have a no-spark condition. It cranks fine. According to the service manual, there should be a 1-4V AC signal to the ignition module coming from the VCM from pin 9 on connector 3. There is none. The manual says to replace the VCM. I did. There is still no signal, no start.
What conditions would exist such that there would be no signal going to the ignition module?

I solved the problem. It was the crankshaft position sensor. I couldn't find anything in the service manual to indicate this as a possible source of the no-signal condition, and there was no code to indicate a malfunction. Thanks for trying to help.
