No reverse?

No reverse or 1st gears makes winding sound. Although it still drives.

The winding sound could be a clogged fluid filter which will cause the transmission not to work correctly.

Automatic Transmission Fluid Type

USA & Alaska .................... Nissan Matic "D" Fluid

Canada .................... Nissan ATF or DEXRON III / MERCON

Capacities

Fluid capacity

With torque converter .................... 8.3 liters (8.75 US qt)
