This is a strange one. With my SUV listed above I was trying the method of squirting some WD-40 into my drivers side door lock area to try to loosed a stuck door switch (yeah, I know) and now I have no power to my window buttons, the radio, the quarter-window buttons on the overhead console as well as the light in the overhead console.

But everything else works! On the overhead the gas/mileage display is fine. My knobs for the rear cooling system is fine. On the dash the radio is dead but the air and even clock are fine and my headlamps and door locks are fine, just not the window buttons.

So no radio and no windows. I don't get it. Maybe a delay system issue? Relay? I checked all fuses inside the cab and near the engine for continuity and it's all fine. I'm ready to dig into the door next. All of this happened after I squired maybe a little too much (okay, I did) WD-40 into the lock latch area. So I messed something up. Oops?

Any ideas are greatly appreciated. :-)

Solved! After I posted this question i'd seen some tips regarding the delay relay switches. Now it makes sense that the windows, dome light and stereo are all on a delay. When you turn off your vehicle you can still control all of the above for around 30 seconds to a minutes, then the relay shuts it off.

It wasn't a relay issue however. I found the fuse that controls that relay and yep, it was bad. Note that i'd done a continuity test. I used my multi-meter to test each fuse inside and out, and they all tested fine. Well, I won't be using that test any longer. It may take time to pull them all out, but that's what i'll do next time. I pulled fuse #14 and it was broken in the middle but seemed to have just a hair of a connection still. I replaced it and bingo. The dome light, stereo and windows all work now.

Thank you for all this info here! I used it to help me troubleshoot my issue.
