The management light is on and a mechanic said it's just an oxegen sensor and that it shouldn't cause my car any harm but recently I noticed my car will not blow out hot air from vents! Engine is hot but I noticed their is no coolant in the coolant holder but the mechanic had only put coolant in the car recently. Also the car is making a whistling noise! Very stressed out about what's wrong with my car as when I had my air con on it sounded really loud and if the car had a huge loud air con system or something! Please help!

First, refill the coolant in both the radiator and the overflow. See if that fixes the heat problem.

As far as the O2 sensor, that wouldn't have anything to do with the heat. I need to know what trouble code he found that tells him it needs a sensor. If you hear a whistle noise, you may have a vacuum leak which will set a lean code. As a result, he wants to replace a sensor that is still good. See if you can get the code for me.

Next, if you are using a lot of coolant, first check for leaks. If there are none, then check the engine oil to make sure coolant isn't mixing with it. Also, I need to know if you are seeing white smoke from the exhaust.

Hi thanks for replying. Got it sorted. There was a leak so it's fixed now and that's why their was no coolant and no heat coming into the car. Management light was on because of an oxegen sensor that needed to be replaced. All is well now so just going to keep an eye on the coolant level now. Mechanic said I was very lucky my car didn't overheat and melt the engine and do serious damage to the car. Got it sorted just in time. Thanks for your help though.
