Vehicle will not crank. When turning key I get 1 click. All lights and other electronics come on. Nothing dims. Battery and alternator check out. Terminals are clean. Would start by jumping but now that doesn't work. Fuses and relays are all good as well. The last time it cranked up, it was kind of weak, but it cranked up and drove fine. No rough idling or anything. Thinking it may be the starter or wires going to the starter maybe corroded. Haven't checked that yet. I also saw that it might be related to the ECM wires too.

It could be the starter or the starter relay, to be sure you need to check for power at the starter trigger wire. This guide can help you. Included is the starter relay location and starter wiring diagram so you can see how the system works. Also, I have the instructions on how to change the starter out in case you need it.

Thank you for the quick response. After checking the fuel pump relays and connections and trying a fuel pump reset, still nothing. After some more trouble shooting, I tried jumping the starter through the relay terminal with a wire. The truck cranked up. I let it run a few minutes after replacing the relay back in. Cut it on and off a few times. Continued to start up, but I noticed that the crank was kind of weak. Cut it off and restarted again after 10 minutes and still started. Let it sit for about 2 and half hours. My wife went to crank it to go to the store and it would not crank. I tried to jump it again using the wire trick and this time it didn't crank. Itha gotten dark here, so tomorrow I will get under and look at the wires to the starter.

After finally getting the thing off and testing it, it was indeed the starter. Not really much corrosion, but about a week ago the return line for the HVAC line broke and leaked coolant. I suspect maybe that was the cause of the starter finally going bad. Went to Advance and got another one and it fired right up. Thanks for the assistance.
