putt putt

1997 nissan pickup 2wd xe. for the past year i will be driving along and when i slow down, brake hard or stop then start again, my truck stutters like it is flooding or not enough fuel? i will turn the engine off and then start it immediatley and it will drive fine. if i know i am going to stop i put it nuetral and keep the rpms up then it wont putt putt. its weird.
i have replaced in line fuel filter and fuel pump any suggestions wpuld be helpful

have you checked your spark plugs and distributor? i had a similar problem with a 94 altima and it ended up having to replace my distributor and plugs.

I have a 1992 maxima that was doing the same thing. I had the number 4 fuel injector replace and it stop.
