computer burns up?

1996 nissan truck 4 cyl. Fries computer when you turn it off. Put in a new computer and it cranks and runs. Turn it off and the computer burns up. What do I do? It has 109910 miles.

I would check the grounds for the engine computer system and unplug the coils and injectors because if one is shorted it can take out the computer. Here are two guides to help you test them both.
