When we start the engine it is fine and will drive great until we cut it off. Then when we restart it it will miss only on one cylinder. If we sit for a while it will sometimes straighten out and we can go on home BUT sometimes it does not and we drive it very carefully home. We were told it is a burnt valve? Now that the weather is COLD we can just about start it right up weather we have driven it or not and take right off. What do you think? We have replaced the plugs already. And the code reads missing on cylinder 2. HELP!

Misfire at specific cylinder in your case you should check the sparkplug, compression and injector.

Misfiring can be caused by worn or fouled spark plugs, a weak spark (weak coil, bad spark plug wire), loss of compression, vacuum leaks, anything that causes an unusually lean fuel mixture (lean misfire), an EGR valve that is stuck open, dirty fuel injectors, low fuel pressure, or even bad fuel.
