1996 Nissan Truck Brake lights staying on

after shutting down the engine I took the fuze out to turn off both brake lights, heard there is a stop light switch can cause it due to wareout, where it is located or can i change it myself thanks

Look on the brake pedal arm, you can probably do it yourself, if you have a pair of wire cutter(dykes)pliers, it's held on with a clip...look at it first, it may need to bee adjusted only. sme just push into place and are adjuted by pulling up on the pedal...make sure it's in the brackett first!
