Hi,
I just got a 1992 Nissan pickup from my step dad. It runs great up until now. It stopped while driving home. I checked fuses and found the fuel pump fuse blown, I changed it and drove around a day. Now it blows them one right after the other and the truck wan't stay running longer than a couple seconds. I am thinking there must be a wire short somewhere but can you help with suggestions? Thanks, I'm a pretty independent girl but not when it comes to mechanical things.

The black and white wire that powers the fuel pump relay is shorted to ground or the white and blue wire that goes to the fuel pump

Hi there, you will have to check the pump power wire for a short to earth, disconnect it from the pump and pull the fuse and test it for earthing with a multi meter, if OK, the pump may be failing and binding up causing the fuse to blow.
