1987 Nissan Truck timing order

whare do I point the distributor or the rotor button and where is #1 so that i can set the distributor this truck has 8 sparkplugs 4 intake and 4 exhuast. Is #1 on the intake side or the exhaust side thats what i need to know to time this motor in the next 15 min if possible
the motor size is a 145.8 CID
