I recently bought a used 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R. It's a 4 cylinder 2.5 liter engine. When I bought it the check engine light was on. I brought it to a mechanic to have it serviced, only to be told it was the O2 sensor was making the engine rev higher when idling. The mechanic said it wasn't a problem, it simple revs at 1100 rpms rather than 800 rpms.
The other day, the check engine light turned off. Also, the car just doesn't seem to have the same pick up and torque it did before the light turned off. At 2700 rpms in 5th, it struggles accellerating on hills. I never experienced this problem before. What could be the trouble?
