When going up a hill car loses acceleration?

1998 Nissan Sentra Manual 200000 miles

When going up a hill car loses acceleration, even after down shift, slows down to about 50, rpms race not a problem at a stop and getting on pedal. Never a problem before. Started around thanksgiving and has gradually gotten worse. Same gas milage as before.

Have the exhaust system inspected could be the catalytic converter is clogged-up, also the fuel pressure.

I agree with RASMATAZ, it sounds like the catalytic converter is starting to clog up but to be sure please use this guide below to confirm the issue.

Here is an images of the exhaust system so you can see where the catalytic converter is for testing. It is in the middle of the system. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes
