95 Pathfinder Electrical

My 95 Pathfinder has a slew of electrical gremlins. Automatic, 201,000miles.
First of all, theres a humming coming from the back where the tranny computer is. Whether car is on or not, just randomly. My cig lighter goes through fuses like there's no tomorrow. The alarm goes off when it feels like it.I went to install my stereo after it got stolen, but the wires were too short, so I discontinued, now when I push the interior map light, the door ajar light comes on, and my clock goes off at the same time. My A/C quit working, and my cruise control doesn't work either. Also, the locks lock and unlock whenever they feel like it, too. Probably not all realted, but a starting point would be extremely helpful. Grrrrr. Help? Suggestions? Thank YOU!

Remove the pos. Battery cable stick a test lite in between-is the light On-if so -you have a short or an open, no power and ground problem. Within the electrical system. This one can be a bear to find its multiple and probably needs an ohms law expert to find it. Take it in.
