On two separate occasions about 6 months apart, I have noticed the following when driving:

Depress the accelerator, RPMs go up, no acceleration. If I cut the car off and re-crank, the problem goes away.

I had the transmission checked out and they said they couldn't find anything and couldn't recreate the problem.

Any thoughts, suggestions?

Hello,
I am having the same problem. My vehicle has a little over 88,000 miles and the acceleration hesitation occured again for the 2nd time in 3 months this afternoon. The 'service engine soon' light came on this time so I'm taking it back to the dealership so they can run the same tests as when it occured the 1st time.
Did you ever find out what the issue was? Did you have the throttle position and vehicle speed sensors checked?
Thanks.
