Occasionally my daughter's Pathfinder can barely pull itself, even on a level street. If the engine is shut off for a few minutes, it runs fine. The dealer is unable to find any problem. Any ideas?

Has the check engine light ever come on? Also, did the dealer check fuel pump pressure? And finally, has anyone checked to see if the catylatic converter is plugging? A clogged converter will cause a loss of power. Sometimes, at night they will get so hot, the will glow red hot. You may want to check that if it happens at night to you.

Let me know.
