Instrument panel not working

The instrument panel goes out sometimes or gets stuck. No speedometer, odometer, radiator temp or fuel gauge. When driving it will fade out with the needles for the speedometer staying at what speed I was going, same for tach, fuel gauge. Also happens when first starting up the car, but gauges are all not registering, stay @ 0.
It seems to happen when it gets hot. No other problems when this happens. Car drives fine, all other instruments work, lights, ac, radio. When car sits in garage or overnight all is ok when starting up the next day.
