sqeaking in the brake area

just recently i had to repair the rear brake light switch -which is located behind the brake paddle, and since then i have had an annoying sqeaking sound coming from the front brakes....it has been less then a year sense the car has had a new brake job...i just added brake fluid to see if that would stop the problem but it has not........sqeaking started last night.

HELP>

Brake fluid won,t help the squeak unless you pour it on the noise. The front brakes have a wear indicator on the pads when they are worn they will make a nose. Inexpensive brakes pads last about a year.

note---- when losone said pour it on the noise, he was very much kidding.

Pouring it on the noise may make the noise go away, but it will most likely make the car go away too.......like to the bone yard due to a major accident as a result of extreme loss of effective braking.

Check your pads, if they don't clear the wear indicator - Replace. I have noted this repair to run roughly 150 or so in most cases. However, it is really not very difficult in most cases with patience and the right DIY tools. Pads should run roughly 20-30
