2001 Nissan Maxima Hard to shift into first and second

When i try to shift into first gear from a roll of 5mph or more the shifter locks so it won't slide into gear. I end up jamming it into first and it does go. Also everytime i shift into second gear it grinds just a little bit. The clutch was replaced less than 2000 miles ago. What can i do to improve the shifting?

Try adjusting the free play and pedal height and bleed the system-
