Service Engine Soon Light Goes on?

1) First time was right after I filled the gas tank and I pinched the pump and probably put too much gas in. My mechanic cleared it and reset and it did not come on again until I had my oil changed 3 months later. He cleared it again and reset about a week ago and it hasn't gone on again. What is problem?
Mechanic says if sensors have to be replaced that witn the Maxima you have to go to the dealer and have computer reprogrammed?

The computer has stored a code for an intermittent problem, you need to get it scanned for codes and comeback with it, so that we can initiate a diagnosis

I have seen a bad EVAP purge control solenoid stick open and cause this issue. Here is the location so you can swap it out which should fix the problem. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
