Transmission problem
1998 Nissan Maxima 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 185k miles

I had my clutch replaced in January 2010 it is now May 7th 2010 and the car is in the shop cuz the clutch was not working. I had it towed to the same shop that replaced the shop and he has told me I have a leak in my master cylinder. I want to know if this is something they could have caused when they did the repair by not tightening enough or if it is a related repair so I don't get screwed. Please help!

Hi there.

Thank you for the donation.

There will be no connection with replacing the clutch mechanicals and this hydraulic problem, it is just a case of bad timing, if the hydraulics are sound at the time of the repair to a clutch, you don't touch the hydraulics at all, apart form may be flushing the fluid if it looks a bit dirty.
