Suggested Repair

Inspect the oxygen sensor wiring from the connector along the harness. Check for wires routed too close to the exhaust that may be burned or shorted, and repair any damaged wiring.

Conversation Summary

A 2002 Nissan Frontier with 72,500 miles has a check engine light for code P0132, oxygen sensor bank 1. The sensor was replaced and the code cleared, but the light returned. The owner asked whether a short or another fault could be the cause. The expert suggested following the connector and checking whether the wires run too close to the exhaust and have burned or shorted.
