My Frontier will no engage into 1, 2, or D. reverse still works. Was wondering about how much a transmission rebuild should run me? Thanks

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

We see this question often here and the answer is always the same, there is no way of telling until the transmission is dismantled and assessed, modern transmissions are very complex and un till it can be fully investigated first hand there is no way of knowing where the problem lies, it may just be a solenoid failure or a failed shift valve, the first thing you should do is get a scan done to see if there are any unresolved transmission fault codes this is always a good place to start, best to eliminate the simple things first.
