Hi,

Shutting off while driving is a number of possible causes. When you pulled over, did the vehicle restart? What happened to get it running it again or has it not restarted yet?

Here are some guides that will help walk through the basics. Basically we need to look at a crank sensor issue or fuel pump issue. Let me know if it restarted or what happened and that will help determine possible causes. Also, if you can check to see if there are any codes that will help as well. If you can't pull codes, most parts stores will pull them for you free of charge.

If the engine restart then I would think the most common cause is the crank sensor. Here is the location of the sensor. Unfortunately the service manuals that we use do not have a step by step instructions on how to replace it. However here are some guides that will help explain what this does and why I suspect it is the sensor. Again, this is just the most likely cause. So with no codes or any other confirmation it would be a bit of a guess.
