I drive a 1996 Nissian 240SX, about 100K miles on it. It is leaking coolant through a head gasket, according to a local Firestone auto shop. I was wondering what the appropirate cost would be, should I choose to have it repaired or replaced.

SInce that is a chain driven engine it will be a little more, expect 700.00 up. Ther is no repairing a head gasket, it must be replaced or further engine damage could ensue.Be sure the head is pressure tested and surfaced before being re-installed
