Hi,
We need to start by checking if the alternator is producing voltage to charge the battery. I need you to perform a very simple test. Follow the link below. It is to check an alternator. You will need a voltmeter or a basic digital multimeter.

Now, if you are not seeing an increase in voltage with the engine running, then I need you to locate the blue wire with a black tracer on the alternator. That wire should have 12v at all times. Confirm that for me.
I attached the wiring schematic below for the charging system. I had to cut the pic in half to make it readable. However, I did overlap them so you can follow them easier.
Now, you mentioned a fusible link. According to the schematic, the vehicle doesn't have one on the 4 cylinder model. So, if there is no power at the alt (blue/black wire) I need you to see if there is power at the starter on the blue wire with a black tracer.
If there is power at the starter on that wire but not at the alternator, the wire is bad.
